A Form 7 – Protection Works Notice is issued when proposed construction may affect an adjoining property, typically due to excavation near boundaries or new footings located deeper than neighboring structures.
Although the notice is issued under the Building Act, it does not mean your property is automatically protected. The protection works are designed by the developer’s engineer, and in many cases, important risks are overlooked or not fully addressed.
